Harbhajan Singh lives in Nalgonda with his family. He likes to play cricket and his favourite cricketer is Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan and his family are Sikligar Sikhs, who have a rich history of polishing and manufacturing swords as well as other weapons during Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s time. They are now a marginalized group in India, with most people working in hard labour. When he grows up, Harbhajan wants to be a police officer. His father is an iron worker, but he does not get work every day. When he does get work, he manages to make about 300 rupees a day – that’s only $6. Harbhajan’s parents want a better future for their children, but they are worried they will not be able to afford to pay their school fees much longer.
If you sponsor Harbhajan today, SAF CANADA can make sure his family’s vulnerable situation does not affect Harbhajan’s future. He will be able to continue his schooling and have access to all the opportunities every child deserves. Your monthly contribution will cover his tuition fees, school supplies, textbook costs, and any medical issues for the child and his immediate family. Sponsor Harbhajan today and join SAF CANADA in the fight against poverty.
