Arshdeep Singh lives with his family in the Taran-Tarn district of Punjab. He likes eating samosas and wants to be a doctor when he grows up. Arshdeep’s family has suffered a lot. His father passed away in 2012 from a drug addiction, and his mother was left completely alone, without any support to look after her three young children. She began working in the local Gurdwara and now earns 1, 700 rupees each month. That’s only $30! Arshdeep’s mother can barely afford to feed herself, let alone her children. They live in extremely poor conditions and are in desperate need of help.
Arshdeep’s mother wants her children to go to school and have the opportunity to learn, but she cannot afford to give her children an education. Education should be a right and not a privilege - educating children like Arshdeep is the key to ending poverty around the world. If you sponsor Arshdeep today, we will be able to make sure that this young child has the opportunity to follow his dreams and he will have a chance to change his family’s future.
